Hi lovelies! I am home from Chicago and wishing I was still there! It was so wonderful to spend family time and celebrate Easter together. I have lots more to show you from the trip coming up this week!

{ PS: I was wearing a Topshop dress, Aritzia leggings, Cole Haan flats, Ted Baker belt, MuuBaa leather jacket via Topshop, and a Next (UK) scarf }

I'm off to Chicago for the long weekend! I hope you all have a wonderful Easter and I promise lots of exciting things when I get back! Also a big thank you to Wordpress for featuring me on "Freshly Pressed" yesterday!

Today's weather went a little something like this: snow, rain, sun, snow, rain, snow, rain, sun, rain... I know the weather isn't generally all that interesting to talk about, but today it was nuts. It felt like a bit of every season all in one day. So that said, I was glad I had these outfit photos saved up so I didn't have to attempt to take any new ones in the bi-polar weather! I took these a while back and completely forgot about them, the necklace and shoes were such a perfect colour match that I couldn't resist wearing them together!
anyway lovelies, I hope you all have a wonderful week!

It's been a while since I posted a new design, and it's about time! A big part of why I started this blog was to share my love of design (not only my design work, but also of other designers who inspire me), so expect to see more design related posts in the future. About the pattern: I love doing different layers in a pattern to add more dimension, I did it here using colour and opacity. hope you like!

It seems like spring has finally made it! I walked around the city without a coat and ate lunch outside on a patio. bliss.

Mango shoes, James Jeans, H&M sunnies, All Saints zip-up (stolen from boyfriend), MuuBaa leather jacket via Topshop, F21 necklace.

I don't know about you guys, but I frequently borrow my boyfriend's clothes. And by borrow I mean keep. Seriously, add a belt, heels, or a bold necklace, and voila! you've doubled your wardrobe! I didn't get so lucky this time; He knew exactly what I was after and was sure to get his zip-up back...

ps. I had a few questions about the items in yesterday's post so I've added I've added the outfit details at the bottom. xo

I have two sisters, both of whom live away from home right now (I miss them all the time!). Last time we were all together playing in my closet, my older sister had the genius idea for each of us to style a look around the same item in our own personal styles. #1 is mine, #2 is my older sister's, and #3 is my younger sister's look. It was fun to see the differences an similarities we have - one thing is for sure - we were definitely all on the same colour wavelength - we all ended up pairing the jacket with combinations of orange and pink! Which one is your fave?

ps: #1 H&M jacket, bracelet, sunnies, and dress, Mango shoes. #2 H&M jacket, Mango Shoes, Anthropologie Skirt, Aritzia blouse, Ted Baker belt. #3 H&M jacket, Gap cardigan, MinkPink top, Asos loafers, James Jeans, Next(uk) scarf, Marc by Marc Jacobs bag.
LINE KNITWEAR

photography by me
Line Knitwear's collection was incredible and each look was styled to perfection. Crochet dresses, open knits, fur, knitted turbans, pleated skirts paired with cozy sweaters, and textures galore. It pretty much summed up every Canadian girl's dream to look effortlessly layered and chic throughout fall and winter. I'll definitely be looking back for inspiration in a few months!
Fashion week is over so I'll be back to regular programming tomorrow. Hope you enjoyed!

James Jeans, Jeffrey Campbell Shoes, F21 bag and blouse, H&M cuff, Essie "turquiose and caicos"
AMANDA LEWKEE

photography by me
Friday was the final day of LGFW, so I grabbed one of my bests, Shana (and a fully charged camera!) and headed downtown to the shows! Up first was Amanda LewKee. The Ryerson University grad is only 23 and has already shown at LGFW, dressed several celebrities, and is currently designing custom wardrobe pieces for HBO's True Blood on top of designing her own line. Talk about drive! I can't deny I love a little bit of bright coloured tinsel material, exposed zippers, and sheer fabrics any day.
more to come!
