outfit du jour: anniversary dinner

Still waiting in anticipation for my jcrew order to arrive, but I've been extremely busy in the meantime! October 19th was randal's and my 5 year anniversary, we went out for a lovely dinner in the city. I spent the next two days at LG Fashion week - so much fun! (photos will be coming shortly - just have a lot to go through and edit!)  Then went out on the town for a best's birthday and had an impromptu mini highschool reunion. I love a busy week.

OK I must share: I just placed an order on jcrew.com and I'm giddy with excitement

I've been drooling over this camel coloured jacket for ages, but when I tried it on at the J Crew store in Chicago a few weekends ago I was so, so disappointed. They didn't have the right colour in-store and it  felt slightly too short.  I was about to restart my search for a fall jacket when I checked online - not only was my dream jacket on sale - but it also comes in tall!! and for the cherry on the top - there was an online promotion for an extra 30% off sale items. So instead of paying $258 US. I payed $138. NBD.

might have ordered this skirt too...

style-isms: jeans!

I have a vivid memory of being 10 years old and declaring (after a particularly nasty sighting of the dreaded, mid-wash, super unflattering, tapered mom-jean) that I would NEVER like or wear tapered jeans in all my life. Was I ever wrong! Now skinny jeans are a major staple in my wardrobe, and just about everybody's.  To my defence it was the late 90's, and flares were the only thing cool then. But I have to say I'm excited to see various different cuts and styles becoming popular in the in the past few seasons, rather than just one shape. - must drag out the flares and wide leg jeans from the back of my closet!

current fixation: cheetah

I have become seriously obsessed with cheetah print accessories lately. I don't know what it is, but every time I lay eyes on anything cheetah, I make a bee-line towards it. The sunnies are from H&M and the flats are Cole Haan.
